Submitting text and images for inclusion in listings

 Please upload your details in the online form on the appropriate Option page. Enter your full mailing address, separated by commas, not returns. Be sure to select the correct categories from the drop-down lists if you are choosing an Option 2 or Option 3 listing. You can enter different text for each category listing if you wish, within the maximum word limit. If you have any problems, read the text below for guidance, and if it still doesn’t work, or make sense, contact the webmaster and I will endeavour to help.
Pictures & Logos

 Pictures and logos in the left hand column on the regular listings pages should be submitted in .jpg, .gif or .png format and are a maximum of 80 x 80 pixels wide at 96 dpi.
To create an image of this size, you should employ a proprietary image manipulation software package - Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc. - and upload the image on the option page of your choice. If all else fails, send me the image you wish to use and I will see what can be done with it - but do bear in mind that it needs to be small and of a square shape to begin with.     
Display Pages

 Creating your display page will be an interactive process with the webmaster. First, I need your your pictures and graphics, your text and some idea from you about how the page should look - background colour, layout style, etc.     
Display pages have a usable area of 740 pixels wide and 1175 pixels long, so please bear this in mind when submitting images and text for inclusion in a display page. Typically you will get 4 or 5 larger pictures (plus captions) on the page, 6 to 10 if they are smaller.
The amount of text you can include on your display page will obviously depend on how many pictures you wish to place on the page. Try to keep your text concise and preferably as a series of captions to accompany your pictures. Text can be supplied in an email, or preferably as a MS Word document attachment.
Hyperlinks to specific pages on your website can be inserted at various points on the display page, or linked to specific text or pictures, etc.
If you are wishing your display page to reflect the style of your own website, then forward your website URL so that it can be designed to reflect that style. Otherwise, please send some guidelines for your preferred layout - in an email or as a simple Word document if you wish. Images for use on display pages can obviously be larger than the thumbnails on the listings pages, around 150 to 250 pixels wide, at 96 dpi, is ideal, but do bear in mind download times for those without broadband.
And if all else fails...

 Don’t worry, if none of that makes sense, your text and images will not upload or you don’t know your pixels from your dpi’s - the webmaster is here to help!
